ABOUT SARAH

Sarah grew-up barefoot, exploring the woods, sinkholes, mangrove islands, and urban jungles of Florida. Thanks to her imaginative parents, car rides became safaris, the pool became an underwater adventure, radar detectors became death rays, and so on. Telling stories is in her blood.

In her early writing career, she attended a summer program at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and earned a scholarship from the St. Petersburg Times. She took courses in creative writing at the University of Florida and the University of South Florida. Her interests in biology and evolution drew her to anthropology. She volunteered at the CA Pound Human Identification Lab at the University of Florida. In 2011, she earned a Master's degree in Forensic Anthropology from the University of Central Florida.

Sarah is married to her high school sweetheart. They have three amazing children, three dogs, and four cats. When not spending time with her family, writing, reading, or working, Sarah enjoys adding to her bone collection, painting badly, cooking like a boss, resisting the tattoo parlor, and habitually tapping away on her phone.

ABOUT ROBERT

Robert was born in Texas, so you probably shouldn’t mess with him now. Regrettably, he grew up in Florida, so maybe you can mess with him more than he’d like. That said, he did do all of his education in FL and that’s what led to his awesome skills as a writer. Would that have happened in TX? Probably not.

Being an average student in high school, Robert didn’t really know what he’d do upon entering the collegiate realm. He started first with engineering, but withdrew before he had the chance to fail out. He switched to English which wasn’t the most lucrative choice in the world. Aside from this book, he’s done little else with that degree. He is back in school, though, to get a degree in IT, so job prospects are looking better!

He’s been married for 5 years and has his first little one on the way. Both he and his wife are competing to see who can become the first successful published author. The loser gets to stay home all day with the winner and take care of the homestead. He doesn’t mind losing this competition but he likes to win, too.
